Bio Bay Tour Itinerary

Pre-Tour Safety Briefing:

  • After check-in is completed, Eco Action Tour guides will call the group of kayakers and will distribute and secure each guest’s provided life jacket.
  • Tour guides will provide a safety briefing, including instructions on kayak operation, low intensity lights system, and group paddling techniques.

Launch and Paddle:

  • Paddle along the shoreline and through mangrove channels for 1 mile, enjoying the tranquility of the natural surroundings.
  • Tour guides will lead the way and will provide commentary on local wildlife, flora, and fauna, and share insights into the history and significance of Laguna Grande Bioluminescent bay bay.

Laguna Grande Bioluminescent Bay Exploration:

  • As darkness falls, witness the first hints of bioluminescence in the water.
  • Navigate through Laguna Grande bay under the cover of twilight, with the glow of the bioluminescent organisms becoming increasingly visible.
  • Guides will provide information on how bioluminescence works and encourage participants to gently agitate the water to observe the dazzling light show.
  • Guides will share stories and legends associated with bioluminescent bays, adding to the enchantment of the experience.
  • Experience the full intensity of the bioluminescent display as the darkness deepens.

Stargazing and Reflection:

  • Take a moment to pause and gaze up at the starry night sky, away from the glare of city lights.
  • Reflect on the beauty and wonder of nature’s creations, surrounded by the peaceful ambiance of the bay.

Return Journey:

  • Led by Eco Action Tours guides, begin the journey back to the launch point paddling through the same mangrove channel for 1 mile.
  • Guides will ensure all participants safely return to shore and will assist with disembarking from the kayaks.
  • Complimentary snack will be provided at Check-in desk.

What To Bring

  • Bring ID & credit card used for payment: Please ensure that you bring a matching government-issued photo ID and the credit card used for booking to the check-in desk. This is required to verify your identity and complete the check-in process seamlessly.
  • Clothing: Wear comfortable clothing suitable for kayaking. Quick-drying clothes are recommended, as you will get splashed during the tour. You will get wet. It’s highly recommended to bring a change of clothes to leave in your car for after the tour. This ensures you can freshen up and stay comfortable once our kayaking adventure concludes.
  • Footwear: For your safety and comfort, going barefoot is strictly prohibited during the tour. We recommend wearing water shoes, closed-toe shoes, or sandals with secure straps to navigate various terrains and activities safely. Please be aware that as part of our kayaking experience, you will be walking into the water up to waist deep to board the kayaks.
  • Camera or Smartphone: You’ll want to capture the magic of the Bio Bay, so be sure to bring a waterproof camera or smartphone to take photos. Please remember to keep your electronic devices secured in a waterproof pouch that has a lanyard to attach your electronics items to your life vest. Tour guides will not rescue any lost item regardless of the item’s value.
  • The following items are strictly prohibited: Backpacks, food contains, and bottles are not permitted on the tour due to limited space, safety concerns, and environmental impact.


  • If you have a rental car, drive to our location using the “GET DIRECTIONS” link located in your confirmation email. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the starting time of your tour to find parking space.
  • If you are riding with Uber or a Taxi, we suggest you make roundtrip arrangements. Most of the time these services are NOT AVAILABLE to book on the spot after the tour.



⚠️Maximum Weight Limit: 250 lBS. (113 kg) per person (no exceptions). For safety, weight checks will be conducted before each tour. Participants exceeding the individual weight limit will not be allowed to participate, and no refunds will be issued. Please inform each person from your party.

⚠️Minimum Age: 6 years old. Participants age 6-13 must be accompanied by an adult on the same kayak. Participants ages 14-17 must have an adult participating on the tour.

⚠️The following guests cannot participate: pregnant women and guests with a recent surgery. Guests with neck, back, arms or leg problems or wearing a cast. Guests with heart conditions, epilepsy, and/or dizziness.

⚠️Guests who show signs of intoxication by drugs or alcohol will not be admitted on this tour.

Eco Action Tours will not provide a refund to any customer who failed to adhere to the tour restriction above disclosed.

We reserve the right of admission.


  • Cancellation notice must be given 48 hours before tour check-in time in order to receive refund. All cancellations must be made by phone directly with Eco Action Tours at 787-791-7509. Guests who are no-shows or late arrivals will be charge in full for the tour.
  • Groups of 10 or more guests must cancel at least 1 week prior to the date of the excursion in order to receive a full refund.
  • Rebooking is subject to availability and must be requested at least 24 hours prior the tour check-in time. $20 rebooking fee per person will be charged. Rebooking fee to be paid in cash at check-in.
  • Same-day bookings are final sale.
  • Weather Cancellation: This tour goes out rain or shine. Customers who choose to cancel their participation in the tour due to rain will be charged in full. If Eco Action Tours cancels the tour due to severe weather or unsafe conditions, a full refund or option to reschedule will be offered to all participants. Due to the unpredictable tropical weather, tours may be called off on-site.


  • Credit card account holder must participate on this tour. Upon check-in, you will be asked to present the credit card used for payment along with a matching government-issued photo ID.
  • We do not take Amex and Discover Credit Cards.
